On my way to Summer & Buddy’s photo shoot I saw a beautiful double rainbow. It was the end of a typical Colorado summer thunderstorm; somehow raining and sunny at the same time. By the time the dogs arrived, the rain had stopped completely and it was a perfect summer evening. The rain had cooled things down and we had the park to ourselves. It was a good reminder not to call a “rain delay” until the last minute because often the sun comes out following a storm.
12-year-old Summer is a stunning German Shorthair Pointer. She was in her element in the tall grasses by the South Platte River. Buddy the terrier mix is 5 years old and has the prettiest blue eyes I’ve ever seen on a dog!
Here are some fun facts about Summer & Buddy, as told by their family:

their routines become as locked into yours as the quietest and kindest of marriages.”
