Colorado Equine Photographer
As a professional equine photographer, I offer horse photography sessions throughout Colorado. I cover the Denver Front Range, including Boulder, Parker and Evergreen. Horse photo sessions can take place at a scenic location or at your home, ranch or barn.
ARtistic equine photography
The first step is a planning session so I can find out what style of horse portraiture you’re looking for. For example, do you prefer a fine art or documentary look? Would you like an equestrian portrait showing the special connection between you and your horse? Once we have a plan, we’ll schedule your photo shoot. Normally, I will photograph your horse in its pasture and barn but if you want to put your horse in its trailer, we can meet somewhere scenic. Colorado does have some beautiful backdrops! I live in Denver but I’m willing to travel.
I can’t wait to meet you and your horse! For more information, give me a call at 720-238-3337.
Horse Photos make stunning wall art
Where will you hang your horse’s portrait? During your photo session, we’ll discuss where you’d like to display your art. Then, at your ordering session, l can mock-up your photos on an image of your wall. We can try frame/mat combinations to your heart’s content. I also have samples that you can see to take away the guesswork and make sure you’ll be pleased with your new art.
One of my first experiences in Colorado was horseback riding as an 11-year-old tourist in Buena Vista. Do you know how exciting it is for a midwestern kid to ride a horse through the mountains? In my memory, we galloped (In reality, probably a trot) through the mountains to a meadow where we made breakfast over a fire. Heaven!
I’m surprised it took me as long as it did for me to move here. I’ve been here 20+ years now and I’m still making up for lost time when it comes to horses and mountains.
What kind of animals do you have on your ranch? When I found out this family had a 2 week old alpaca, you can bet I photographed him as well as the family’s horses, dogs and cat. The more animals the better!

I was fairly certain that anyone with miniature horses named Princess Buttercup and Fezzy would be Princess Bride fans. And I was right! The mini horse with the pink halter is Princess Buttercup and she's 3 years old. Fezzy has the blue halter and he's one year old....
