Remembering Murphy: A Tribute to My Golden Retriever
2011 – 2024
Murphy became a part of our family when we adopted him from Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies (GRRR) as a rambunctious adolescent. Sadly, he died in 2024. My husband, Dan, and I are grieving the loss of one of the best dogs we’ve ever had.
Over the years, Murphy’s face grew white, and he slowed down. Now that he’s gone, it’s bringing me peace to have photos from all stages of his life. I’m glad I captured so many action shots when he was young and energetic. I hope you enjoy Murphy’s photos as much as I do.

Murphy’s signature pose was carrying a letter in his mouth.

Every year, my Christmas card featured Murphy.

He was very photogenic, especially in his younger years. His tail was his crowing glory.

Best Dog Ever

Murphy and Dan had a special bond and I took many images of them together.

Murphy was very excited about an ice cream photoshoot. He enjoyed being a photographer’s dog!
